Eastern Star Regular Meeting and Election
The March Regular meeting of Summerville Chapter No. 143 was held on March 26th, 2007. The meeting was held downstairs and was well attended, by at least 36 at one count. The meeting started with a covered dish dinner which provided plenty for everyone to eat. With the meeting being held downstairs it
provided an opportunity for us to see some faces that we don’t normally get to see. Sister Shirley Martin, P.M. came and it was so nice to see her out, also Sister Irene Keasler, Sister Rosemary Wilson and Sister Debra BeDell.
Our Worthy Matron, Sister Theresa McKnight, presided over her last regular meeting and was presented with a beautiful Eastern Star ring in appreciation from her 2006-2007 Officers. She informed the Chapter that we would be having an initiation on April 12th, 2007 at 7:30 P.M. a new petition was also received so the Chapter continues on its growth spurt. The Worthy Matron also reported that the Field Day will take place on April 7th at 10:00 A.M. at Old Fort Masonic Lodge. The March meeting also brings about the Annual Election of officers and the results are now in!
