Thoughts and News from the Lodge
As most of you already know, we are in the process of having a new roof system installed. A new AC system is also going to be installed. Don’t let the construction keep you away though! Meetings are still being held downstairs, so if the stairs have been a little intimidating over the years, now is the perfect time to visit a meeting. Check in again to stay informed of our progress.
A great big thank you goes out to the Eastern Star for another successful Family Fun Day Picnic! Even though the weather was extremely hot, some 50+ gathered at the Dorchester Shrine Club to enjoy Fun, Fellowship and Food. The Worthy Matron thanks all of those who brought covered dishes and deserts and a special thank you to Brother Keith Brown for slaving over a hot grill on a super hot day. Anyone who has checked out the Guest Book over the last couple of weeks has noticed that it continued to be a victim of unscrupulous web spammers who seek out any way possible to get their “Casino” ad’s or Viagra ad’s out to the public.
Originally it was once every week or so. Lately it has been a 3 or 4 times a day thing. Fortunately for us we had already started the new Community Forum which has really taken off. Thanks to all of you who have checked it out and started using it. We are already up to 20 registered members. Please help spread the word. I think it will be a great way to let everyone know what is going on in and around the lodge.
